Experience

I am a member of the Piano Technician Guild, and I have over 12 years of experience tuning and repairing pianos.

Formal Training

My training came from seasoned piano technicians in the local West Michigan chapter of the PTG. I have attended seminars/classes and continue to do so to further my training and skills in order to provide my customers with the best piano care possible. I also work with a local piano shop.

Certification

I am certified by the Piano Technicians Guild as a Registered Piano Technician (RPT). This title can be earned only by passing a series of rigorous examinations on the tuning, repair, and maintenance of pianos. Since the field of piano technology is not government regulated, the Piano Technicians Guild has established these examinations and this certification in order to insure quality service to the public. Fewer than 2,500 piano technicians in the world have earned this title.
